Terms of Service

1. Service Overview

Orient Name (中文名工坊) provides Chinese name recommendations based on traditional Chinese Four Pillars (birth-chart) analysis. Users input birth date, time and location, and the service generates name suggestions with cultural and philosophical explanations. It also composes a name poster for you, drawn on our own servers from our own type and layout — no third-party image-generation model is involved. If you would rather make something else yourself, we also provide a written poster prompt kit you can paste into any image tool you already use.

2. Nature of Service

• The name suggestions are generated by automated algorithms based on traditional Chinese metaphysics (the Four Pillars / birth-chart and Five Elements theory).
• All results are provided for entertainment, cultural and educational purposes only.
• We do not guarantee that any name suggestion will bring fortune, health, or any specific outcome.

3. User Obligations

• Users must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent.
• Users agree to provide accurate birth information. Results depend on the accuracy of provided data.
• Users may not use the service for any illegal purpose, nor request any content prohibited under our Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

Users must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), which lists prohibited uses (including unlawful use, automated scraping of the name database, resale of results as a competing service, and attempts to bypass the paid unlock) and describes our reporting and enforcement mechanisms.

5. Payments & Refunds

• Unlocking additional birth dates and extra AI explanations require payment via Waffo payment services. See Pricing for details.
• Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (Waffo).
• Refunds. Unlock credits you have not yet spent can be refunded. A refund is priced on the discount tier you keep — a single unlocked birth date is refunded in full if the report and poster have not been delivered yet; once they have been generated and emailed, that date counts as delivered. Birth dates you have already unlocked cannot be refunded, because the service has already been delivered. Points granted with refunded credits are removed at the same time (up to the balance remaining in your account). Refunds are returned to your original payment method through Waffo; you can submit a request from the account panel. The full policy is published on the Pricing page.
• If delivery fails because of our own service error, we refund in full.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including name analyses and generated reports, is the property of the service provider. The names we recommend, the poster prompt kits we produce for you, and the posters we draw for you may be used, printed and shared by you for personal, non-commercial purposes. Images you render from those prompts with your own tools are yours.

7. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We are not liable for any decisions made based on the information provided by this service.

8. User Breach Liability & Termination

If we determine, in our sole discretion, that a user has violated these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, we may take any of the following actions, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation:

• Warning: issuing a formal notice of the violation.
• Suspension: temporarily suspending the user's access to the service, pending investigation or correction.
• Termination: permanently terminating the user's access and deleting associated accounts/data.
• Reporting to authorities: reporting illegal activity (e.g., CSAM-related or other unlawful conduct) to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities.

Users bear full legal responsibility for any content they request, generate, or distribute through the service. A user who is found to have repeatedly or seriously breached these Terms will have their account terminated without refund of any outstanding payments.
